You're reading it right: we're back.
After an amazing edition in that weird summer of 2020 we had no choice but to reopen in 2021.
Hopefully the best summer of your life!
The HideOut is a summer bar in the garden of an old town house, beautifully renovated into the apartment hotel The Hide. Between the garden walls you'll find beach chairs on a soft smooth lawn, while the Gingkgo Biloba tree acts as a natural aircon. Three mythical chickens live here as well, but they don't bite. Not often, anyway.
Imagine your own garden by the Leie river, but better. You'll find our full menu here. Komparto, the food sharing restaurant down the street, is taking care of the appetizers.
And of course everything is still very COVID-proof. Orders and payments are all wireless and the garden is spaceous enough to keep everyone far apart. Let's hope regulations will relax soon. We can be very relaxed.
This year The HideOut is organised by Urban Republic VZW, a group of fun-loving Ghenteneers who - hold on - want to inspire and surprise, challenge and activate, bring together and connect.
